EDITORIAL COMMITTEE 2010-2011 ANNUAL REPORT

Over the past year the Editorial Committee has been hard at work improving RMPA’s website and newsletter, the Overview. Last summer, through the dedicated efforts of Alesya Casse, RMPA Webmaster,  and Dianne Carns, RMPA President, we made the switch to Memberclicks for our website. This not only gave our website a much needed makeover, it allowed us to provide a more interactive website for our members. In addition to the already great features the website has to offer, our members can now benefit from a “Committee and Sections Page” page, an “Education” page, a more in-depth “Members Only” page, and get in touch with other members with the “Members Directory” page.

The Overview newsletter has also made leaps and bounds this last year. We have increased our arsenal of authors that contribute information vital to the professional and educational growth of all of our members, both novice and veteran. We hope that our newsletter is becoming more of an invaluable tool to our members with each issue.

The Editorial Committee would also like to thank all of the sponsors have generously supported RMPA and its efforts to promote the paralegal profession.  We are overwhelmed with appreciation.

The Editorial Committee eagerly looks forward to the 2011-2012 year with anticipation for the rewarding milestones and events that it can support and contribute to in order to further RMPA and its goal to “[p]romote continuing legal education, training and support to paralegals through programs, specialty sections, seminars and other educational media.”
