MEMBERSHIP:  ANNUAL REPORT 2010 - 2011

Membership continued to be strong in 2010-2011.  Our current total membership is 246 which is an increase of almost 11% from the previous year.  Our biggest increase has been in student memberships.  We currently have 67 student members which is a 45% increase in that membership category.  The current membership breaks down as follows.

Membership as of May 7, 2011:

2. Student Members:                        67 Members
3. Sustaining Members:                    13 Members
4. Voting Members:                       157 Members
5. TOTAL MEMBERS:              246 MEMBERS

One of the greatest boosts to our membership this past year has been the introduction of our new website and the addition of MemberClicks which allows us to have on-line membership registration and registration for other events such as the Annual Dinner Meeting.  The on-line registrations have made it easier for the Board to track our membership numbers and make sure that members are timely informed about their membership status.  It is important to remind members to take advantage of the on-line registration features as it saves time and costs.  

Since I took over this position mid-year on a pro tem basis, and it took some time to learn all the ins and outs of managing the membership database, I have not had the opportunity to work on building a membership committee.  I hope that in the next year we can put together a committee to begin an active membership recruitment program and to help distribute the routine tasks of membership tracking.  If you are interested in being a part of the membership committee for 2011 – 2012 please contact me at (303) 866-0431 or  membership@rockymtnparalegal.org.
